Licorice, or more precisely licorice wood, has already been known since antiquity as a medicinal herb and is one of the 50 basic herbs of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It contains a sweetener 50 times more powerful than sugar and its taste is sweet, intense and slightly bitter. Due to its valuable nutrients, licorice wood was voted medicinal plant of the year in 2012.

Fennel is one of the oldest known medicinal plants in the world. It is part of the Umbelliferae family and has been prized for millennia all over the world for its intense aroma. Fennel has a sweet, spicy flavor somewhat reminiscent of anise.

Usage tips

Pour 250ml of boiling water over the bag and steep for 5-6 minutes, or longer for a stronger taste.
