YOGI TEA® Digestion is inspired by the Indian Ayurvedic tradition of masala blends. These special herbal blends add delicious flavor and produce more digestible meals. YOGI TEA® Digestion combines botanicals like fennel, licorice and peppermint to aid digestion, while comforting spices like cardamom, coriander, ginger and black pepper make it a delicious infusion to enjoy with meals or at any time of the day. The subtle message of this infusion is: "A person is what he can digest".

Composition

Cardamom : Cardamom has been the most popular spice in Asia and Arab countries for millennia. Its subtle sweet yet tangy aroma makes cardamom essential for a multitude of dishes ranging from curries to spicy Christmas cookies.

Fennel: Fennel is part of the Apiaceae family and, due to its intense aroma, has been appreciated for millennia throughout the world. Originally from the Mediterranean basin, its sweet and spicy taste is somewhat reminiscent of anise.

Ginger: Whether used in Christmas cookies, in curries or in the form of lemonade: bulbous ginger is one of the best-known aromatic plants worldwide. Cultivated for millennia in tropical conditions in East Asia, it embellishes a large number of YOGI TEA® varieties with its fruity, pungent, aromatic and spicy flavors.

Coriander: Due to its rich aroma reminiscent of an intense blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and orange with spicy and pungent notes, coriander is used in almost all dishes in the Near East and Asia.

Barley malt: Barley belongs to the Gramineae family and is present in the Near East and in countries east of the Balkans. Barley malt was for a long time the only known natural sweetener due to its pleasant malt flavor with subtle caramel notes.

Licorice: Licorice, an essential component in the manufacture of a confectionery bearing the same name, has been known since antiquity. Its sweetening power is 50 times higher than that of sugar, its taste is mild, sweet, bitter and harsh.

Peppermint: Discovered in 1696, peppermint, probably the result of a hazardous cross between water mint and wild mint, is today one of the best-known plants in the world. Due to its sparkling aroma with notes that are both subtly pungent and pleasant, peppermint is loved all over the world.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon was one of the most expensive spices in the world and is said to have been used as a spice in China as early as 3000 BC. JC Cinnamon obtained from the bark of the South Asian cinnamon tree is characterized by a mild and aromatic flavor and contains valuable essential oils.

Black pepper: Also known as the "king of spices", black pepper is today, besides salt, the main condiment in the world. Originating from the Malabar Coast of India, its intensely aromatic taste ranges from slightly spicy to pungent.
